1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Proteq Solutions' services, website, or contacting us for security solutions, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part, you may not access our services.

2. Services Description

Proteq Solutions provides professional security and locksmith services including but not limited to:

Residential Security

Home lock installation, repair, and emergency lockout services

Commercial Security

Business security systems, access control, and surveillance

Automotive Security

Vehicle lock services and anti-theft installations

Security Consultation

Security assessments and personalized security plans

3. Quotes, Payments & Cancellations

3.1 Service Quotes

  • All quotes are valid for 30 days from issue date
  • Quotes may be revised based on site assessment
  • Emergency service calls may incur additional fees
  • Travel fees may apply for locations outside standard service areas

3.2 Payment Terms

Standard Services 50% deposit, balance on completion
Emergency Services Full payment on completion
Large Projects Staged payments as per agreement

3.3 Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Fees

  • • Cancellation within 24 hours: 25% of quoted price
  • • Same-day cancellation: 50% of quoted price
  • • No-show: 100% of quoted price
  • • Emergency service cancellation: R500 fee

4. Warranties & Guarantees

Workmanship Guarantee

All services come with a 90-day workmanship guarantee covering defects in installation or repair.

Product Warranties

Products installed carry manufacturer warranties as specified at time of installation.

Limitations

Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, unauthorized modifications, or acts of nature.

Claim Process

5. Liability & Indemnification

Important Limitations

  • • Maximum liability limited to service fee paid
  • • Not liable for consequential or indirect damages
  • • Clients must secure premises and valuables during service
  • • Emergency services carry inherent risks acknowledged by client

Client Responsibilities

  • • Provide accurate information about security needs
  • • Ensure safe access to service areas
  • • Disclose any existing security system details
  • • Obtain necessary permissions for installations

6. Emergency Services

Emergency Service Terms

Response Time

  • • Urban areas: Within 60 minutes
  • • Suburban areas: Within 90 minutes
  • • Rural areas: Within 120 minutes
  • • Times are estimates, not guarantees

Emergency Fees

  • • After hours: Standard rate + 50%
  • • Weekends: Standard rate + 30%
  • • Public holidays: Standard rate + 100%
  • • Minimum 1-hour charge applies

7. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising from these terms or services provided:

  1. Direct Negotiation: Parties agree to attempt resolution through direct communication within 14 days
  2. Mediation: If unresolved, parties agree to mediation with a mutually agreed mediator
  3. Arbitration: Failing mediation, dispute shall be referred to arbitration in South Africa
  4. Governing Law: These terms are governed by South African law
